Stabbed in the Art goes to the Firehouse Gallery for February!

Culture Candy and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge have partnered up to showcase local artists for a special “Love” themed Stabbed in the Art exhibition in the Firehouse Gallery.

Traditionally a pop-up show, Stabbed in the Art gives emerging artists a platform to showcase their work in alternative venues and meet arts professionals. The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge has offered up the Firehouse Gallery for these artists so that they can get a full month to display their work, and learn more about what we do for the community.

This exhibition is sponsored by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, Culture Candy and the LSU School of Art.

STABBED IN THE ART

What is Stabbed In The Art?

Stabbed In The Art ('SITA'), a Culture Candy program, is a pop-up art exhibition an open to any and all artists who would like to exhibition and sell their work. SITA is free to the public (a donation of $10 is suggested).

Why do we need Stabbed In The Art?

Artists are given limited opportunities to display their artwork in Baton Rouge. Culture Candy believes that those barriers should be lifted so that Artists are given the opportunity to exhibition as well as sell their work while also allowing for entrepreneurship, community engagement and critique creating a valuable opportunity to grow Artists skills.
