Can you say "grassroots"?

Attention all painters, musicians, writers, choreographers, pyrotechnicians,
filmmakers, sculptors, storytellers, I know I'm leaving a bunch of ya'll out,
but please join us in this effort to build our community and our audience.

No doubt about it. The people of Baton Rouge are hungry for
cultural stimulation and we are preparing to let them have it!

The programs introduced here at CultureCandy.org are based on
successful art scenes elsewhere. These programs offer many win-win
opportunities for co-operative, competitive and creative communities.

Mission Statement

CultureCandy.org is a 501(c)3 non-profit cultural and educational organization created to foster the growth of creative communities in the Greater Baton Rouge area. CultureCandy seeks to support the efforts of creative artists and to assist cultural audiences in experiencing and learning about the arts.

Through programmatic initiatives CultureCandy provides access to new cultural experiences and also serves as a resource to individual artists seeking support for independent projects.

Our current projects include the Cultural Calendar, the Art Car Parade, Looking at Art,
UnCommon Thread, the Surreal Estate, Artist Residencies and the Baton Rouge Artist Network.
