Quoting from Dan Havel and Dean Ruck "Our mission is to interact with the built environment through architectural intervention. Our desire is to utilize derelict spaces prior to their demolition or alternative public sites outside of the traditional art venue to create temporary site-specific sculptural objects."

O.K. let's see a few examples of what Ruck and Havel have done in Houston....and keep in mind, there are hundreds of houses each year that are slated for demolition in Baton Rouge....more on that in minute.

Here's a sculpture called "Inversion". It used to contain the community art classes of the Houston Art League. The Art League contacted Havel and Rusk and offered them the opportunity to transform the structure. They had four weeks to complete the project. Inversion generated a lot of excitement in the
art community and the local neighborhood, attracting people from around the city.

This image below is from Havel's first house...Alchemy House. More photos and text
on the performance aspects of Alchemy House can be found at http://kelliscottkelley.com

Here's some quick work they did a few weekends ago
