Culture Candy's Sweet Tooth: All Systems Go!

Baton Rouge-The next issue of Culture Candy's Sweet Tooth is scheduled for take off Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Red Star's Yuri Night organized by the LSU chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The spring release of this quarterly publication is in conjunction with the international celebration of the first man in space, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. For a six-dollar cover you get an earful of celestial sounds courtesy of the band EQ and everyone's favorite DJ Otto. Soviet propaganda decks the walls, Red Star is offering vodka drink specials and of course there will be copies of Sweet Tooth.

But what does the launch of Voskok1 and a killer BR art publication have in common you ask? SPACE.

While the science crew lifts their vodka tonics to the power of rocket boosters Sweet Tooth poses the question of art and the space it inhabits. Under the artistic guidance of Alex V. Cook the second issue welcomes new writers Herpreet Singh, Aharon Varady and Tracy Duncan to the original Teething Ring. Collectively, the band of writers approach the issue of changing, sharing, discovering and demystifying space. Paul Dean designs Sweet Tooth's space for this exciting new issue, now 43 percent more for free!
